Super Tozanbu (Super Climbing Club) is a Japanese band formed in 2023 by composer Tomoyuki Oda, also a member of a mountaineering club. True to their name, the group blends music and climbing, performing both in mountain lodges located around 3,000 meters in altitude and in live houses in urban areas, all while strengthening their legs through their parallel mountaineering activities. Their debut and second live performances sold out, quickly establishing their reputation for unique and spirited shows. In March 2024, they celebrated their one-year anniversary with a concert at Nagakute Bunka-no-Ie Mori no Hall, drawing 400 attendees and featuring guest artists such as TENDRE, MELRAW, and Kaho Nakamura. That summer, Super Tozanbu embarked on their first Tokai-Osaka-Nagoya (Tomeihan) mountain traverse tour, culminating in a climactic final performance at the Hakuba Mountain Lodge, standing at 2,832 meters above sea level, which was met with great success. The group, based in Nagoya, operates within the pop and alternative genres while carrying a unique identity rooted in their love for mountains and music alike. The members are Hina, Tomoyuki Oda, Yu Ishihama, Shotaro Kaji, and Yuichi Fukaya. Their discography continues to grow, and in 2025 they released the track âTsubameâ.
