Biography
Sanele Tresure Sithole, known professionally as Sun-El Musician, was born on March 28, 1989, in Mooi River, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He began his career remixing songs and creating mixtapes in 2007 after dropping out of the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Sithole's debut single "Akanamali", featuring Samthing Soweto, was released in May 2017 under Demor Music, reaching Number 1 on Shazam. He established his own label, EL World Music, in 2017. His first studio album Africa to the World (2018) achieved Platinum certification by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). Sun-El Musician released his second album, To the World & Beyond (2020), which also reached Platinum status. He has collaborated with artists such as Ami Faku, Msaki, and Simmy, and headlined festivals including the Basha Uhuru Creative Uprising Festival and MTN Bushfire Festival.
