Biography
Invisible System is the stage name of Dan Harper, a United Kingdom producer whose music blends Ethiopian, dub, reggae, techno, drum and bass, jungle, acid, psychedelic, folk, postâpunk, goth, and rock. Dan Harper debuted with Punt â Made In Ethiopia (2009), featuring Mahmoud Ahmed and Justin Adams, and reached the 2010 Songlines World Music Awards final. In 2011, he released Street Clan, adding Jamaican vocals and postâpunk elements, which peaked at number 25 on the World Music European Charts and earned praise from The New York Times and BBC Radio 6 Music. Subsequent releases include the 2012 EP The Cauldron, the 2012 compilation Introducing Invisible System, the 2018 album Bamako Sessions, and the 2021 album Bamako Moon, continuing his Ethiopianâfusion exploration.
