Caron Nimoy "Sugaray" Rayford, born February 13, 1969 in Smith County, Texas, is an American soul blues singer and songwriter. He began singing at age seven in the Bethel Temple Church of God in Christ in Tyler, Texas. Rayford's early career included singing with the Urban Gypsys and later joining Aunt Kizzy's Boyz as lead vocalist. With Aunt Kizzy's Boyz, he released Trunk Full of Blues (2004) and It's Tight Like That (2007). Rayford's first solo album was Blind Alley (2010). He joined The Mannish Boys in May 2011, contributing to their album Double Dynamite, which won the Best Traditional Blues Album at the Blues Music Awards in 2013. His subsequent albums include Dangerous (2013), and The World that We Live In (2017). Rayford has been nominated for multiple Blues Music Awards, winning Soul Blues Male Artist of the Year in 2019.
