E.C. Scott, born Ecrettia Peevy in 1951 in Oakland, California, is an American singer known for her work in electric blues and soul-blues genres. She began singing at the local St. John Missionary Baptist Church and later transitioned to soul music. Scott started performing professionally at age 18 and released her debut single in 1988, building a local fan base through performances around San Francisco, including a spell as the house band at Slim's. Her first album, Come Get Your Love, was released in 1995 under Blind Pig Records. She received a nomination for the Blues Music Award for Soul Blues Female Artist of the Year in 1999 and performed at festivals including the San Francisco Blues Festival and the Briggs Farm Blues Festival. Scott's subsequent albums include Hard Act to Follow (1998) and Masterpiece (2000), both with Blind Pig Records.
