Biography
Nemesis (Korean: ê²ë¯¸ìì¤) is a South Korean rock band formed in May 1997. Initially a school band, Nemesis was reestablished in 2005 with the addition of lead vocalist Noh Seung-ho. The band's lineup includes Noh Seung-ho (lead vocals), Ha Se-bin (lead guitar, piano), Jeon Gui-seung (guitar, backing vocals), Choi Sung-woo (bass), and Jung Eui-seok (drums). Their music is often categorized as postmodern rock, blending elements of alternative rock, pop rock, and symphonic elements. Nemesis made their official debut in 2005 with their first studio album, La Rose de Versailles, which featured a dramatic and melodic rock sound. Following a brief hiatus due to mandatory military service, they released their second album, Lovesick, in 2009. Their third album, The Piano, was released in 2011, showing a more refined and emotive musical style. In 2013, they released Dream, which peaked at #17 on the Korean charts. Their most recent studio album, White Night, was released in 2019, marking their continued presence in the Korean rock scene. Throughout their career, Nemesis has participated in numerous music festivals in Korea and abroad, including performances in Japan, Taiwan, and China.
