Steven Frederic Seagal, born on April 10, 1952, in Lansing, Michigan, was an American actor and martial artist who also pursued a career as a singer. He began his musical journey by releasing individual country songs before debuting his first full album Songs From The Crystal Cave in February 2004. This album, which blended country and reggae styles, achieved notable success in France. Seagal followed up with Mojo Priest in June 2007, a blues-infused album featuring collaborations with musicians from the former Muddy Waters band. The album was released by EMI Music France and included covers of classic blues songs as well as original compositions by Seagal.
