Edgard Villavicencio Peregrina, known professionally as Eddie Peregrina, was born on November 11, 1945, in the Philippines. He started his singing career at a young age and became a professional singer after graduating from high school. His breakthrough came when he won the singing contest of Tawag ng Tanghalan, a popular TV variety show. Peregrina's career took off with hit songs such as "What Am I Living For" and "Together Again." He released several albums, including What Am I Living For (1968) and The Jukebox King (1969). His popularity extended to acting, starring in films like Mardy. Peregrina died on April 30, 1977, at the age of 31, following a car accident.
