Biography
Spunsugar was a shoegaze band from Malmö, Sweden. The trio consisted of Cordelia Moreau, Elin Ramstedt, and Felix Sjöström. Cordelia Moreau and Elin Ramstedt met at age thirteen and discovered a shared love for shoegaze, noise rock, and dream pop. In 2018, Moreau and Ramstedt recorded a demo on their own and shared it with Sjöström, who then joined as their bass player. The band released their first EP, Mouth Full Of You, in 2019 under Adrian Recordings. Their debut album, Drive-Through Chapel, followed in 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were unable to tour and instead focused on writing new music, resulting in the EP Things That I Confuse released in the fall of 2021. Notable singles included "Native Tongue", "I Shouldn't Care", and "Rodan".
