Biography
Split Image, a German rock/punk band from Delbrück, Kreis Paderborn, was formed in 1991. The group blended street and hardrock elements into their music and were known for their stance against both right-wing and left-wing extremism. Their breakthrough came with the song "Kommerz", featured on the compilation Schlachtrufe BRD. From 1992 to 1997, Split Image performed numerous concerts in Germany and Austria, gaining recognition in the Oi! and punk scenes. Their debut album, Guten Tag!, was released in 1995 under Impact Records. The band's second album, Ich bin ich, followed in 1997, after which they disbanded. Split Image reunited in 2007 with the album Tod und Teufel and continued to release music until their final album, ...bringen Licht!, in 2010. Split Image officially disbanded on December 1, 2013.
