Spencer Aaron Albee, born May 31, 1976 in Dover, New Hampshire, is an American musician and singer-songwriter from Portland, Maine. Influenced by his grandfather's banjo playing and early exposure to artists like Paul McCartney and David Bowie, Albee began playing piano at a young age and later picked up guitar, bass, and other instruments. At 18, he joined the Rustic Overtones as keyboardist, working with notable figures such as David Bowie and Imogen Heap. After Rustic Overtones disbanded, Albee formed As Fast As, releasing Open Letter to the Damned in 2004. Following the dissolution of As Fast As, he released his first solo album, Spencer, in July 2013. Subsequent releases include Mistakes Were Made (2015) and Relentlessly Yours (2017). His song "Wait for the War" was featured in the closing credits of the movie Night of the Living Deb.
