Biography

Sparks the Rescue, an American rock band from Maine, was formed in Maine when members of three high school bands converged. Their debut EP, Stumbling Skyward, was released independently in 2005. The band's lineup evolved with the addition of lead vocalist Alex Roy in 2006, leading to the release of their first full-length album, Eyes To The Sun, on Double Blind Music in 2008. This album secured them a deal with Fearless Records. In May 2009, Fearless re-released Eyes To The Sun, which reached third place in the Top Heatseekers Chart for the Northeast and featured tracks played on MTV shows. Notable releases include "The Weirdest Way" (2011) and the album Worst Thing I've Been Cursed With (2011). The band has continued to perform cover shows under various lineups, with significant changes in personnel over the years.
