Biography
Soundpool, an American musical group from New York City, was formed in 2005. The band initially consisted of Kim Field on vocals and John Ceparano on guitar, with James Renard on drums, Mark Robinson on keyboards, and rotating bassists including Ben Malkin, Rich Bennett, Dean McCormick, and Andy Durutti. Sanford Santacroce later joined as the permanent bassist. Soundpool's debut studio album, On High, was released in May 2006 by Aloft Records. The band followed up with Dichotomies & Dreamland in 2008. Their third album, Mirrors in Your Eyes, released on April 27, 2010, by Killer Pimp, featured an unusual blend of shoegaze and disco. After releasing the remix EP Re-mirrored in May 2011, Soundpool went on indefinite hiatus.
