Sonido Lasser Drakar is an electronic music group formed in Mexico City, Mexico, in 2001 by DJ Map, Master Ape, and Emilio Acevedo. The band drew significant influences from Sonido Polimarch's, a genre that blends urban techno with hip-hop and late-80s music. Emilio Acevedo, the leader of the project and former member of bands like Melamina Ponderosa, Titán, and Alfombrator, has also composed soundtracks for films and performed in various clubs and art galleries both domestically and internationally. The group's debut vocal project under the name Sonido Lasser Drakar was the album The Electric Mass Begins, which was released in 2003 by Noiselab Records, featured vocals from Danette Newcomb and included notable tracks such as "Two Young" and "Visions". In October 2021, Sonido Lasser Drakar released the single "Why Why Why", again featuring Danette Newcomb on vocals.
