Biography
Indie pop / rock group Son Mieux was formed in The Hague, the Netherlands in 2015. Originally intended to be a solo project for Soul Sister Dance Revolution keyboardist / All Missing Pieces vocalist Camiel Meiresonne. However, not wanting to be classified as âjust another singer-songwriter,â he recruited musician friends â including several former members of All Missing Pieces â and formed a band that evolved into Son Mieux. Their early singles and Eps â including âEasyâ (2015), âEvenâ (2016), âVice Versaâ (2016), âRideâ (2016), and âHidingâ (2017) â were released independently before they signed with Universal Music and issued the album Faire de Son Mieux in 2019. The group released their sophomore album, The Mustard Seed, in 2021, which included the popular singles â1992â and âDrive.â However, the band didnât hit the Top 40 until the release of the 2022 single âMulticolor.â They followed that with several more singles including âThis is the Momentâ (2022), âTell Me Moreâ (2023), âTonightâ (2023), and âFree for Another Dayâ (2024).
