Sociedad Anónima, a Colombian rock band formed in Bogotá in 1986 by Carlos Posada and Gonzalo de SagarmÃnaga. They initially performed at private parties and supported Hora Local. In 1987, Sociedad Anónima gained media attention through large concerts, coinciding with the growing popularity of Spanish-language rock on Colombian radio and television. Their first single, "La causa nacional", released by Polydor in 1988, satirized Colombia's drug trafficking issues. In 1989, they released their sole album, El álbum de menor venta en la historia del disco, which compiled their compositions from the previous three years. The band disbanded in 1995. Interest in Sociedad Anónima was revived through Carlos Posada's brief reactivation for festivals and the inclusion of "La causa nacional" in the soundtrack of the 2006 film El colombian dream.
