Biography
Formed in London, England in 2012. Soccer96 is a critically acclaimed eclectic synth and drum duo comprised of keyboardist Danalogue (real name: Dan Leavers) and drummer Betamax (Max Hallet). The two band members â who are also members of Afrobeat trio The Comet is Coming â perform all of their instruments live without the use of sequencers or software. Their musical style combines electronica with jazz, prog, and art-rock. They released their self-titled album in 2012, followed by As Above, So Below (2016) and Rewind (2018). In between Soccer96 and The Comet is Coming releases, the duo continues to work with other artists. Danalogue has produced several artists as well as performing alongside Henry Wu, Scratcha DVA, and others. Betamax is a member of Super Best Friends Club and Hot Head Show. In 2021, Soccer96 returned with the album Dopamine.
