SNZ was a Brazilian pop girl group formed in 1997 by sisters Sarah Sheeva, Nãna Shara, and Zabelê Gomes, daughters of renowned musicians Baby do Brasil and Pepeu Gomes. Inspired by the success of international girl groups like the Spice Girls, they signed with Warner Music in 1999. Their debut single, "Longe do Mundo," released in August 1999, was featured in the soundtrack of the film O Trapalhão e a Luz Azul, gaining a strong amount of airplay. In January 2000, they released "Dancin' Days," a cover of As Frenéticas, which received their first music video. Their self-titled debut album SNZ, released on May 14, 2000, featured original tracks written by the sisters and became popular thanks to radio hits like "Retrato Imaginário." In 2001, SNZ released their second album, Sarahnãnazabelê, working with producer Paulo Jeveaux. The single "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You" became a hit, featuring in the soundtrack of the soap opera Um Anjo Caiu do Céu. They performed at Rock in Rio 3 and received recognition at the Prêmio Multishow de Música Brasileira. In 2002, they released Remix Hits and the single "DNA do Som." However, in 2003, Sarah Sheeva left the group, leading to a hiatus. SNZ returned as a duo in 2007, re-signing with Universal Music and releasing the album Zunzum e Pronto. The album featured a pop-rock sound and included the single "Busca." Despite a successful comeback, they disbanded in 2009.
