SM-Trax, an electronic music duo from Germany, was formed in 1997 by producers Stefan Grunwald and Mirko von Schlieffen. The group's early career began with the release of their first single "Climb on Top" featuring American singer Sweet Pussy Pauline (Candice Jordan), which peaked at Number 63 on the German singles chart.
In 1999, SM-Trax achieved significant success with the single "Got the Groove", which topped Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart in the United States. The following year, they released another notable track, "...Is Calling" (also known as "SM-Trax Is Calling"), which reached Number 57 on the German singles chart and was featured on the techno album Radikal Techno 6. In 2000, SM-Trax entered the German singles chart again with the single "At the Club". The duo also released their debut album Sm-Trax Greatest Hits...in Motion in May of that year. However, von Schlieffen left the music project that same year. Despite the departure of von Schlieffen, Grunwald continued to release music under the SM-Trax name. Their final single release was "Ignition!" in June 2004.
