Dreams was an American jazz-rock group formed in 1969 by Jeff Kent and Doug Lubahn. The band began as a trio and evolved into a horn-based ensemble. Their debut album, Dreams, was released in 1970 under Columbia Records and received a full-page ad and favorable review in Billboard Magazine. Dreams' second and final studio album, Imagine My Surprise, was produced by Steve Cropper in Memphis in 1971. The band disbanded the same year. Notable members included John Abercrombie, Barry Rogers, Bob Mann, Will Lee, Don Grolnick, and Eddie Vernon. Dreams served as a launchpad for several prominent jazz fusion artists, including Billy Cobham, Don Grolnick, and Randy & Michael Brecker.
