Biography

Slim Marion, whose real name is Nouck Jean Luc Alexis, was born on May 26, 1994 in Édéa, Cameroon. His childhood was marked by a tragedy: the assassination of his father. Shaken by the event, Slim Marion found an early refuge in music, and took his first steps in a Yaoundé parish church. After studying performing arts and cinematography, he decided to leave everything behind and devote himself entirely to music. Alongside inspired covers of tracks by Booba, La Fouine and Lil Wayne posted on YouTube, Slim Marion flew to France, where he developed his ideas in concrete terms. He unveiled his first singles, "Au Soleil" and "Rue De Paname" in 2014, but really exploded two years later, when in 2016 he released "My Last", featuring Locko and Dex Willy. His music, part of a growing Afropop wave, is fueled by electronic rhythms and sees Slim Marion lay down his vocals in both French and English. He then went on to compose, with tracks like "Bon Dragueur" and "Afri-K " featuring Canardo, before unveiling two debut albums, Eros III in 2019 and Le Bon Dragueur in 2021, which established him firmly on the Cameroonian pop scene.
