Biography
Silverhead was a British glam rock band formed in early 1972, featuring Michael Des Barres on vocals, Robbie Blunt on guitar, Rod Rook Davies on guitar and percussion, Nigel Harrison on bass, and Pete Thompson on drums. The group signed to Purple Records and released their self-titled debut in 1972, which included the single "Rolling With My Baby". Their second album, 16 And Savaged, followed in 1973 with notable tracks like "Hello New York". The band disbanded in July 1974. Post-breakup, Des Barres joined Detective and later Power Station, while Harrison became part of Blondie, and Blunt collaborated with Robert Plant. In April 2012, Silverhead reunited for performances in Tokyo.
