Biography

Sharon Bezaly, born in 1972 in Tel Aviv, Israel, is a flautist known for her international performances. She began her solo flute career in 1997 and made her debut with Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic. Bezaly has performed with leading symphony and chamber orchestras worldwide, including venues like Vienna Musikverein and Tokyo's Suntory Hall. Her discography included notable albums such as Mozart: Flute Quartets (2002) and Prokofiev - Schubert - Dutilleux - Jolivet: Works for Flute and Piano (2006). She has released 24 award-winning CDs with the Swedish record company BIS. Notable works dedicated to her include concertos by Kalevi Aho and Sofia Gubaidulina.
