Shahram Nazeri, born February 18, 1950 in Kermanshah, Iran, is an Iranian tenor of Kurdish origin known for his contributions to Sufi, classical, and traditional Kurdish and Persian music. His musical talents were nurtured at a young age. Nazeri's career began in the late 1970s with albums released through the Chavoush institute, including collaborations with Mohammad-Reza Shajarian. His album "Gol-e Sadbarg" (1984) became the highest-selling album of Persian classical music and Sufi music in history. Throughout his career, Nazeri has collaborated with masters like Jalil Shahnaz, Hossein Alizadeh, and Parviz Meshkatian, as well as his son Hafez. Notable albums include Lulian (2005), The Passion of Rumi (2007), and Bi Gharaar (2010). He has performed at major venues worldwide, including the Festival of Avignon and Théâtre de la Ville in Paris.
