Biography

Ebdo Mihemed, born in Efrin, Syria, is a Kurdish wedding singer. He gained international recognition in 2009 when a YouTube video featuring his song "PinsedÃ® ZÃªde" buffalaxed into Finnish went viral, attracting over two million viewers initially and reaching over four million views by November 2018. The Finnish buffalax version titled "Niilin hanhet" became a significant cultural milestone in Finland, leading to several other videos of Mihemed's songs being buffalaxed into Finnish. In November 2009, Mihemed was invited by the television production company Filmiteollisuus to perform in Finland, where he appeared on the show Ne Salmiset. Mihemed also served as a local contact for Finnish media reporting events during the Syrian Civil War in 2011 and 2012.
