Sergey Fyodorovich Letov, born September 24, 1956, in Semipalatinsk, Kazakh SSR, is a saxophonist known for his improvisational style. His early background includes collaborations with various artists across jazz, avant-garde, modern classical, rock, and electronic music genres. Letov founded the recording label Pentagram and worked with notable figures such as his younger brother Yegor Letov, composer Sergey Kuryokhin, and the cult Soviet art punk band DK. He released several albums including ÐалÑма ÐиÑа (1999), ÐÑÑжки в ÑиÑÐ¸Ð½Ñ / The Width Jump (2001), and ÐонÑеÑÑ Ð Ð.Ð.Ð. (2002). Letov also composed music for movies and plays, collaborating with Russian, Italian, and Austrian theatres, the Goethe-Institut, and the Moscow Institute of Journalism and Literature. His notable works include collaborations on albums like TRI-O and Trialogue.
