Biography

Sergei Vyacheslavovich Trofimov, known professionally as Trofim, was born on November 4, 1966, in Moscow. He began his musical journey as a chorister at the Moscow State Capella at the Gnessin School from 1973 to 1983. Trofimov's creative career started at age 21 when he composed and performed rock ballads, becoming a member of the rock band "Eroplan." He later worked on songs for Svetlana Vladimirskaya's album My Boy in 1992. Adopting the stage name "Trofim" for his solo work, he released his first albums Aristocracy of the Garbage Dump-1 and Aristocracy of the Garbage Dump-2. His concert activity began in 1994, and he gained recognition with subsequent releases such as "I'm Born Again" (2000) and "I Live in Russia" (2009). Trofimov has been honored as the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2011) and won awards including Chanson of the Year and Golden Gramophone.
