The Swiss artist Seraina Telli was born on November 6, 1989 in Untersiggenthal in the canton of Aargau. She is a singer, guitarist and songwriter and is considered one of the most distinctive voices of modern hard rock and heavy metal from Switzerland. Seraina Telli began her first metal band projects in 2010 and soon shaped the style of Burning Witches, an all-female metal band from Brugg founded in 2015. Together with Romana Kalkuhl (guitar), Lala Frischknecht (drums), Jay Grob (bass) and Alea Wyss (guitar), she established Burning Witches as a permanent fixture in European metal. With the band, she releases the debut album Burning Witches (2017) and performs at international festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Sweden Rock. In 2019, Seraina Telli leaves the band and embarks on a solo career. Her music combines classic hard rock with modern pop elements, a feminist attitude and an energetic stage performance. In 2022, her first solo album Simple Talk is released, which receives positive reviews in Switzerland and Germany. The second album Addicted to Color followed in 2023, embodying a colorful, self-confident rock aesthetic and reaching the top position in the Swiss album charts. Well-known singles include "Modern Warrior", "I'm Not Sorry" and "Hit Shit". Seriana Telli released another studio album, Green, in October 2025. This is another number 1 success in her native Switzerland.
