Biography
Selfish Cunt was a Londonâbased rock group formed in 2003 by guitarist and vocalist Martin Tomlinson and guitarist Patrick Constable, both previously involved in theatre and art rock respectively. The duoâs first single, "Britain Is Shit" / "Fuck The Poor", appeared on Horseglue Records in 2003 and introduced their provocative style. In 2004 the band released their debut album No Wicked Heart Shall Prosper, followed by the single "Authority Confrontation" which briefly entered the UK Singles Chart at numberâ¯66. After expanding to a fourâpiece with the addition of drums and bass, they released English Chamber Music in 2008 under Sparrow's Tear Records, featuring tracks such as "England Made Me II" and "Avocado". A third album, Shaved, was recorded in 2010 for Japanese label 51 Records and released only in Japan. Selfish Cunt disbanded in 2012, leaving a legacy noted for its confrontational lyrics and energetic live performances.
