Biography

Sea Scouts was a rock music group from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Formed in 1994 by Tim Evans and Zach von Bamburger, Sea Scouts began their career with the release of the EP $100,000 Dollar Mamal. In 1995, Monika Fikerle joined as drummer. The band disbanded six months later after a brief tour. In 1996, Evans restarted Sea Scouts with bassist Alex Pope and recorded their first full-length album Pattern Recognition, released in 1997. In 1998, Fikerle rejoined the band, and they recorded their second album Beacon of Hope. Sea Scouts toured extensively, including shows with Pavement and Archers of Loaf, and a final tour across North America and Europe in 1999. The band played its last show at Melbourne's Corner Hotel on February 18, 2000.
