Scatter the Ashes was an American post-punk band from Nashville, Tennessee. Formed in the summer of 2001, the group consisted of singer Daryl Stamps, guitarist James Robert Farmer, bassist Matt McChord and drummer Dillon Napier. The ensemble performed its first show on June 24, 2001, at the Plunge in Nashville. After signing with the label Epitaph Records, the band released its debut studio album, Devout / The Modern Hymn, in 2004. This was followed by the recording Construct Set in 2005. Their music also appeared on the compilations Punk-O-Rama Vol. 9 and Punk-O-Rama Vol. 10. Scatter the Ashes officially disbanded in 2006, after which two members formed the group MOTHER/FATHER.
