Biography

Saucy Monky, an indie pop band based in Los Angeles, California, was formed in 2001 by Dublin-born singer and guitarist Annmarie Cullen and East Coast singer Cynthia Catania. Their debut album Celebrity Trash was released in 2003, featuring the hit radio singles "Flicker" and "Don't Wanna Know Your Name" in Ireland. In 2005, they remade the Divinyls song "I Touch Myself", which became another Irish radio hit. Their subsequent album Turbulence was also released in 2005 by 429 Records and re-released in June 2005 across the United States under a major distribution deal with Savoy Label Group, featuring the top 40 AAA radio hit "Disco Ball (Boulevard Remix)". In February 2006, they released "I Touch Myself" as a single, which was later used on an episode of the TV series Veronica Mars.
