Santa Sabina was a Mexican rock band that was active from 1988 to 2005. The initial lineup included Rita Guerrero on vocals, Alfonso Figueroa on bass, Pablo Valero on guitar, Patricio Iglesias on drums, and Jacobo Leiberman on keyboards. The group gained early recognition through television appearances, performing songs such as "Nos Queremos Morir" and "Chicles". In 1992, they signed with BMG under the Culebra Records label, releasing their self-titled debut album produced by Alejandro Marcovich. Notable tracks include "Azul casi morado" and "Estando aquà no estoy". The band's subsequent albums showcased their unique blend of rock, jazz, and Middle Eastern influences. Santa Sabina also supported social causes, notably the Zapatista movement. Following Guerrero's death in 2011, the band reunited for sporadic performances. Their discography includes notable releases such as Symbols (1994) and Babel (1996).
