Sammy Arriaga is a Cuban-American country singer-songwriter born in Hialeah, South Florida. Raised in a Spanish-speaking Cuban family, he first developed his voice and lyric writing in middle school before pursuing music more seriously as a young adult. In 2011, Arriaga auditioned for the tenth season of American Idol, reached the Hollywood round, and later moved toward Nashvilleâs country scene. His early catalog included the 2016 EP Banjos ânâ Bongos (Acoustic Mixtape), which featured songs such as âCold in Miamiâ, âCubanâ and âJust Anotherâ featuring Jillian Jacqueline. In 2017, he released Meet in the Middle - EP through Sony Music Entertainment, followed by singles including âTequilaâ in 2019. Sammy Arriaga shifted toward a more hybrid country-pop sound on the 2021 album Boots x Beats, which included âCOUNTRY SIDEâ, âmusic city.â, âtake my phone.â and âon God.â In 2023, he launched his bilingual country concept with Seven Roses, Vol. 1, translating and adapting country songs into Spanish and Spanglish versions. Seven Roses Vol. 2 followed in 2024, and in 2025 his Dead Rose Records entered a partnership with Walk Off Entertainment. That same period brought the EP Limes, the album Heart in Texas, and the Don Louis collaboration âMine In My Mind.â In 2026, Arriaga released âThe Chair (Mi Lugar)â, a Spanish and Spanglish adaptation of the George Strait classic, followed by âTwo Dozen Roses (Docena De Rosas).â
