Biography
Samestate, an American Christian alternative rock band originating from Olathe, Kansas, was formed in 2008 by Dalton Diehl. The group initially included Darren Harms on guitar and Ryan Lytle on bass guitar. Their first release was the EP Samestate in 2011, which served as a precursor to their debut album The Alignment, released in 2012 by Sparrow Records. The album featured the single "Hurricane", which reached number 4 on Air 1's Top Songs Chart on November 12, 2011. Following this success, Samestate embarked on several tours, including So Long Summer with Caleb in August 2011 and the Rise Up tour with Family Force 5 in March and April 2012. In 2013, they launched a Kickstarter campaign for an independent EP The Boxer & The Thief, which was successfully funded. On September 18, 2013, Samestate announced their disbandment via social media.
