Biography
Salim Nourallah is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer born on May 3, 1967, in Alton, Illinois. He was raised in El Paso and relocated to Denton, Texas, in 1988. Nourallah established the ensemble Moon Festival with his brother Faris in 1990. He later formed the ensemble The Happiness Factor, which released the studio recording Self-Improvement? (2001) and the studio recording Avoid Danger (2004). His solo recording career began with the studio recording Polaroid (2004) followed by the studio recording Beautiful Noise (2005). Nourallah released the studio recording Snowing in My Heart (2007) and the studio recording Constellation (2009). His song "Don't Be Afraid" appeared on the television program The Wire. Nourallah released the studio recording Hit Parade (2012) and established the ensemble The Travoltas. He reached professional recognition for winning the DOMA Best Producer award seven consecutive times between 2006 and 2012. His production credits included recordings for the ensemble Old 97s and the musician Rhett Miller.
