Biography

Rumahoy, a Scottish folk metal band, was formed in Auchtermuchty in 2011. The group released their demo Yarr Demo 2012 in 2012. In February 2018, Rumahoy released their debut album, The Triumph of Piracy, followed by Time II: Party in October 2019. The band is known for their unique blend of pirate metal, folk metal, and power metal, with a stage presence that includes balaclavas and pirate costumes. Rumahoy has collaborated with Christopher Bowes from Alestorm, who co-wrote several of their songs. The band relocated to Ocracoke, North Carolina, and is signed to Napalm Records.
