Rania Hussein Mohamed Tawfik, known professionally as Ruby, was born on October 8, 1981, in Egypt. She is an Egyptian singer, actress and occasional model. Ruby rose to fame with her debut single "Enta Aref Leih" ("Do You Know Why?") in 2003, which became a hit across the Middle East. Her first album Eba'a Abelni was released in 2004. In 2008, Ruby released the single "Yal Ramoush" ("Wonderful Eyelashes"). She also sang the theme song for the movie Awwel Marra. Ruby's acting career began in 2000 and includes roles in over 25 films. Her most recent film is The Treasure 2 released in 2019.
