Roni Griffith, born Roni Griffith in Bloomington, Indiana, is an American disco musician and model. She began her music career as a member of Kid Creole and the Coconuts, where she gained initial recognition opening for acts such as The B-52's and Huey Lewis and the News. In 1980, she released her first single "Mondo Man". Griffith decided to pursue a solo career in 1981, signing with Vanguard Records under producer Bobby Orlando. Her debut album Roni Griffith was released in 1982, featuring notable singles such as "(The Best Part Of) Breakin' Up" and "Desire", which achieved platinum and gold status respectively. In July 1984, "(The Best Part Of) Breakin' Up" peaked at Number 63 on the UK Singles Chart. Griffith also appeared in a national Clairol commercial for Nice 'n Easy. In 1983, she transitioned to Christian contemporary music, releasing her second album Only You in 2004. After leaving the secular music industry, Griffith became a professional photographer and opened Integrity Productions.
