Biography

Rock City Angels, a rock band from Florida, United States, was founded in 1981 as The Abusers by singer Bobby Bondage and original bassist Andy Panik. The band evolved into Rock City Angels, adopting a glam rock fashion style. In the mid-1980s, after signing with New Renaissance Records, they relocated to Los Angeles. Actor Johnny Depp joined as rhythm guitarist in 1986 before pursuing his acting career. The band released their debut studio album Young Man's Blues in 1988 under Geffen Records. Despite recording demos for a second album titled Lost Generation, Geffen dropped the band due to lack of interest. Rock City Angels disbanded in 1993 but reunited in 2001, releasing their third album Use Once & Destroy in November 2008. Lead vocalist Bobby Durango died on June 4, 2012.
