Biography

His track "A Beautiful Mine", taken from the album Magnificent City in collaboration with Aceyalone, was used as the theme tune for the TV series Mad Men. On The Third Hand (2007), he lets himself be sung to, producing a dazzling mix of rap, pop and electro in the footsteps of Wax Tailor and Amon Tobin. In 2010, The Colossus is released on his own Electrical Connexions label. It was followed in 2013 by More Is Than Isn't and in 2015 by a collaboration with rapper STS(STS x RJD2), with whom he did it again in 202 for Escape from Sweet Auburn. RJD2 continues his collages on the album Dame Fortune (2016), followed by The Fun Ones (2020) and Visions Out of Limelight (2024).
