Ringo Musume is a Japanese female local idol group, formed in 2000 by the Hirosaki Actors School Project, a volunteer group in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, as an idol group to revitalize agriculture. The members are each named after a variety of apples, of which Hirosaki City is the number one producer in Japan. In April 2005, he released his first album "Aomori Ringo". In 2010, they celebrated their 10th anniversary and were inducted into the "Local Idol Hall of Fame," and released their 11th single "Train" in December to coincide with the opening of the Tohoku Shinkansen bullet train line.
