Riku Nishiyama is an enka and kayōkyoku singer born on February 23, 2015, in Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture. Influenced by his grandfather during his childhood, he developed a love for enka and began to stand out thanks to his exceptional vocal talent. In 2025, he won first place at the 13th annual “Singing King: All-Japan Singing Championship” on the Nippon TV network, emerging victorious from a field of 12,517 entrants. His expressive performance was highly praised by jury chairman Yasushi Akimoto, who called it “a gift from God.” In 2026, he debuted with the single “Onjii” (2026) from King Records, attracting significant attention with this song, which expressed his gratitude to his grandfather and his passion for enka.
