Reverend, an American heavy metal band from Seattle, Washington, was formed in 1989 following the disbandment of Heretic. The group initially consisted of David Wayne on vocals, Stuart Fujinami and Brian Korban on guitars and bass, respectively, with Stuart Vogel joining as drummer. Their self-titled EP Reverend was released in 1989, which caught the attention of Charisma Records. In 1990, they released their first full-length album, World Won't Miss You, featuring guest appearances from Rocky George and Chris Goss. The band underwent several lineup changes before releasing their second album, Play God, in 1991. They disbanded in 1992 after releasing the EP Live. Reverend reformed in 2000 with David Wayne reviving the project, but he passed away on May 10, 2005. The band continued with Eric Wayne as the new vocalist and released the EP A Gathering of Demons in 2001. In 2026, they released the album Soul Eater!.
