Biography

Actress, fashion muse and brand headliner, Lou Doillon (born in Paris on September 4, 1982) made her big-screen debut in 1987 in Agnès Varda's Kung-Fu Master, with her mother Jane Birkin and half-sister Charlotte Gainsbourg. Daughter of film director Jacques Doillon, she appeared in some twenty films and modeled for numerous brands before launching her singing career. This long-held dream came true with the release of the single "I.C.U.", the preamble to her debut album Places, released in September 2012. Winner of a Victoire de la musique award, she abandoned film sets to repeat the musical experience with the album Lay Low (2015), in the pop-rock vein of its predecessor. In 2019, she resolutely changes her style, becoming more electric and electronic, on a third collection produced by Benjamin Lebeau (The Shoes) and Dan Levy, Soliloquy, where Cat Power is a guest on "It's You".
