Biography

American hip hop group Rehab, from Warner Robins, Georgia, was formed on April 2nd, 1986 by vocalists Danny "Boone" Alexander and Jason "Brooks" Buford. The duo initially released their debut album To Whom It May Consume produced by Denny "Steaknife" Campbell. Following the departure of Campbell due to incarceration, Rehab signed with Epic/Sony and released their major label debut album Southern Discomfort in 2000. This album featured collaborations with Cee-Lo & Bigg Gipp of Goodie Mob, Mandy Lauderdale, and Cody ChesnuTT, and included the Top 15 modern rock hit "It Don't Matter" and "Sittin' At A Bar". The group toured extensively supporting Southern Discomfort, including stints with Kottonmouth Kings, the Phunk Junkeez, and the Warped Tour. In 2004, Buford left the band, leading to a hiatus. Rehab reformed in 2005 as a quintet with Alexander, guitarist Mike Hartnett, Hano Leathers, Chris Hood, and Foz, releasing Graffiti The World under Arshid Entertainment. In 2010, they released Welcome Home, which saw several singles on the Top 30 video countdown for CMT. Rehab disbanded in 2014 after releasing their album Million Dollar Mugshot, reuniting in 2019 to release Galaga.
