Biography

Readymade was a German rock band founded in 1992 in Wiesbaden. The group gained initial recognition during a joint European tour with Cake in 1997. Their debut album, It Doesn't Make Sense, was released in 1998, through TamTam Records, followed by their second album, Snapshot Poetry in 1999. Readymade's first singles, "When I Grow Up" and "All These Things", were also released in 1998. After parting ways with TamTam Records, the band signed with Motor Music and released their third album, The Feeling Modified in 2002. Notable collaborations include split-EPs with Sportfreunde Stiller featuring cover versions of "Friday I'm In Love" by The Cure and "Schwule Mädchen" by Fettes Brot, as well as a collaborative work with Slut titled Übungen zum Abfahren in 2003. Readymade disbanded amicably in 2004.
