Biography

Azar Mohebbi-Tehrani, known professionally as Ramesh, was born on November 13, 1946, in Tehran, Imperial State of Iran. She began her musical career in 1965 with the song "Parastoo Jaan" composed by Lobat Vala for the radio program Golha. Ramesh's breakthrough came with songs like "To Barooni To Aftabi", written by Mina Assadi and composed by Esfandiar Monfaredzadeh, released in 1972. She also performed notable tracks such as "Payiz" written by Forugh Farrokhzad and composed by Hossein Ali Mallah. Her career spanned various genres including pop, jazz, and rock. Ramesh passed away on November 28, 2020, in Los Angeles due to cardiac arrest.
