RaportaZ was a German hip-hop duo from Kassel and Göttingen. The group originally formed as a trio in 1999 with rappers DreSta, Crazy-K, and DJ Os Chill, but became a duo after releasing their first demo cassette, Einfalls-Reich, in 2001. They released the EP Oben Ohne in April 2002 and their debut album, Mit Reimen Gewissen, in June 2003, which marked the beginning of a partnership with the spray paint manufacturer Molotow. Their album Mittelpunkt was released in 2004 and received a top rating from laut.de. The duo achieved nationwide recognition with the EP Gangsta Gangsta in 2005. This led to a label deal with Neo (now Membran) in 2006, the same year they released the album Unter Wert. They disbanded in 2007 when DreSta declared his retirement as an active rapper to focus on his label. DreSta continued his work through RZ-recordingz, producing early releases for notable artists like Karate Andi and The Cratez. In 2019, RaportaZ reunited for their 20th anniversary, re-releasing their catalog and issuing a Best Of album under the label Hidden Island.
