Biography

Ramon Goose is an English guitarist, singer, and record producer born on 16 January 1977 in Colchester. His musical style is influenced by blues, Latin, jazz, and West African music. He began his professional recording career as the primary songwriter and producer for the hip hop blues group NuBlues, with whom he released the studio album Dreams of a Blues Man (2004). In 2005 and 2006, Goose produced studio albums for American blues musicians Boo Boo Davis and Billy Jones. He established the West African Blues Project in 2010 and released the collaborative studio recording Mansana Blues (2010) with Diabel Cissokho. His solo recording career includes the studio albums Uptown Blues (2011), Blues and Spirituals (2014), and Long Road to Tiznit (2017). Goose has performed at venues including Buckingham Palace and has collaborated with international musicians such as Daby Touré, Atongo Zimba, and Yazid Fentazi. In 2023, he formed the Latin rock ensemble The Compadres.
